The Organic Content Standard (OCS) applies to any non-food product that contains 95 to 100% organic material. It checks the presence and quantity of organic material in a final product and traces the flow of raw material from its origin to the final product.

The Global Recycle Standard (GRS) was originally developed by Control Union Certifications in 2008, and ownership was transferred to the Textile Exchange on January 1, 2011. The GRS is a voluntary, product dedicated international standard that defines the requirements for third party certification of recycled material, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions.
